DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1. DEC 26TH . WELCOME TO COSTA RICA . Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Transfer to Hotel San Jose Palacio and check In. Free time at leisure.

Day 2. DEC 2 TH . SUPER COMBO TOUR (B, L). Have the best experience on your life, taking part of this amazing super combo tour. Specially designed for those adventurous who want to squeeze time and save money doing everything in just one day and spend a lot of adrenaline.

The SUPER COMBO is the most natural way to experience the beauty of Costa Rica , while actively participating in some wonderful soft adventure tours. We will visit wilderness areas at the same time as we enjoy various special tours, all in full contact with nature. This journey will submerge us into the great diversity of natural activities available in Costa Rica , making the adventure and wildlife observation an album of experiences not soon to be forgotten.

The Costa Rica adventure tour starts with a 90 minutes bus ride to Sarapiqui town, located on the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica . Arriving by 9:00 AM to Hacienda Pozo Azul, we will start our adventure with a horseback riding trip into the rain forest, where the Zip Lines are waiting for you. After this, we continue our trip on the tree tops of this beautiful and unique place. Ending after enjoy the longest cable, that cross the Sarapiqui River, a delicious buffet lunch will be waiting for us at the main Hacienda`s restaurant. In the afternoon, the whitewater rafting trip (class III) will end this SUPER COMBO TOUR , the best way to experience the real adventure of Costa Rica . After the tour, return to San Jose and free time for enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 3. DEC 28TH . ARENAL VOLCANO. (B, L, D). Located 3 hours from San Jose , Arenal is a beautiful cone-shaped volcano rising out of flat, surrounding plains. It is the most active volcano in the country. In the daytime, clouds of ash and smoke frequently billow into the sky. On clear nights, spectators are occasionally treated to eruptions of lava and burning rocks that explode into the air and shower down the cinder cone. Even when it is overcast, the rumblings venting and molten lava glowing through the clouds afford a very special experience.

Leaving San Jose in the morning, we'll be arriving to the Arenal area by noon and have a delicious Costa Rican style lunch. There, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the surroundings and its relationship with the volcano. By mid afternoon, we will visit Baldi Hot Springs, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. After all this, a great buffet dinner will end this great day. After the tour, return to San Jose .

Day 4. DEC 29TH . JACO BEACH . (B). Leaving San Jose by mid morning, we will continue our journey to the Central Pacific Coast and arrive to the beautiful beaches and town of Jaco Beach . Upon arrival, check in at your beach front Condominium Bahia Azul, the beach home of your dreams that is located on the gorgeous sandy shores of the Pacific. Couples and small families enjoy the serenity of a gated community as well as close proximity to Jaco with its many restaurants and stores. The active beach scene and pool right on the beach are perfect for those who want to be as close to the water as possible. Adventure seekers will find rainforests, ocean waves, mountains and rivers waiting to be explored.

Bahia Azul is an intimate community featuring 30 condominium suites, spread out among 10 buildings. Each unit is nearly 1,200-square feet and has two bedrooms and two baths that comfortably accommodate four to five people. Day 5. DEC 30TH JACO BEACH . JUNGLE CROCODILE SAFARI TOUR AND CARARA NATIONAL PARK . (L) At only 20 minutes from Jaco Beach , Carara is a perfect introduction to tropical forest. The Carara National Park covers a low mountainous area of 4,700 hectares in a climate zone of transition from the dry north Costa Rican Pacific to the very humid coast of the south. It's a type of dry rain forest, where, in spite of the lushness of the vegetation, it has relatively clear undergrowth that makes it easy for a person to observe the abundant wildlife.

Mammals are very abundant. The most commons to see are Coatis, White-faced Capuchin, Anteaters, agoutis, Squirrels and armadillos. Carara protects important archaeological sites. Huetar-culture graves are being studied and beautiful stone, pottery and gold objects have been found in the park.

You will spend approximately two hours exploring the trails under the canopy of giant trees, marvelled at each step by the magnificence of the forest.

Combined with this nature walk, we will take the famous Jungle Crocodile Safari Cruise on the Tarcoles River . Famous for its large American Crocodiles, the Tarcoles River forms the Northern border of Carara Biological Reserve on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica . The Tarcoles is full of Crocodiles, Scarlet Macaws, Jesus Christ Lizards, and over 120 species of birds. But everyone comes to see the huge crocodiles - so big they have names like "Saddam Hussein" and "Mike Tyson!"

We board a custom-built, flat-bottom river boat at our private botanic garden. Then we glide along this placid river with our naturalist guide, who describes the birds, animals, and habitat in great detail. After visiting the river mouth, we venture up a mature mangrove estuary, where we stop to learn about this remarkable ecosystem. After enjoying fresh fruit and refreshments, we slowly return upstream to our native botanic garden, where our guide explains more about the native plant species of this transitional zone. Lunch included during the tour.

Day 6. DEC 31ST JACO BEACH . Free time at leisure.

Day 7. JAN 01. JACO BEACH – SAN JOSE. Morning, free time for enjoy the area on your own. By Mid afternoon, return to San Jose . Upon arrival, check in at Hotel San Jose Palacio and free time.

Day 8. JAN 02. GOOD BY (B). Transfer to the International Airport according to your scheduled flight and good bye.
