COSTA RICA VACATIONS

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA . Arrivals to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet and Great by our tour guide and transfer to Hotel Herradura.

Day 2. ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS . (B, D). Located at 2 hours from San Jose , Arenal is a beautiful cone-shaped volcano rising out of flat, surrounding plains. This is the most active volcano in the country. In the daytime, clouds of ash and smoke frequently billow into the sky. On clear nights, spectators are occasionally treated to eruptions of lava and burning rocks that explode into the air and shower down the cinder cone. Even when it is overcast, the rumblings venting and molten lava glowing through the clouds afford a very special experience. Leaving the hotel in the morning, we'll be arriving to the Arenal area by noon . There, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the surroundings and its relationship with the volcano. Next, we will visit the Hot Springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. Buffet dinner is included at the Spa. Overnight at Hotel Arenal Paraiso or Volcano Lodge. Lunch on your own.

Day 3. ARENAL HANGING BRIDGES TOUR. (B) After breakfast, tour to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, where you will enjoy the beautiful rainforest while you are guided by a naturalist tour guide. Afternoon, free time for enjoy the hotel facilities or visit La Fortuna Town. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Day 4. ARENAL - MONTEVERDE. (B) After breakfast, transfer to Monteverde Cloud forest. Upon arrival, Check in at Hotel Belmar and free time for relax and enjoy the hotel facilities. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Day 5. SKY TREK TOUR. (B) After breakfast you will experience the most excited experience of your life. The Sky Trek. This is a system of three platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs. Zippiness attached from one platform to another allows you to slide with the use of special equipment. A suspended bridge 90 m (300ft) long and 22 m (66ft) high, gives you the best view of the inner forest. An observation platform above the canopy offers visitors a panoramic view (360 grades) of the Guanacaste, San Carlos and Puntarenas lowlands. There are four cables, two of them 190 metros (633ft) run through the inner canopy and the other two 214 (713ft) are outside. The whole system is integrated by a path 2300 m long (7000ft) in length. Sky Trek gives you access to a world of incomparable beauty in the tropical cloud forest canopy. Through jumping, flying and gliding experience what it is like to be an inhabitant of the canopy. You will never forget the Sky Trek experience, which guarantees you 1,317 meters of secure and comfortable sliding adventure.
In the afternoon you will have some free time for take a look of the Town of Santa Elena and its beautiful souvenirs stores, Art Galleries , Cheese Factory and Butterfly Garden . (On your own).

Day 6. MONTEVERDE- TAMARINDO. (B) During the morning, you will be transferred to the beautiful beaches of Tamarindo in Guanacaste province. Tamarindo Beach is part of a bay formed by a cape, Cabo Velas (velas is Spanish for sails or sailfish). Playa Grande lies to the north of Tamarindo Beach inside the bay. The two beaches are separated by a natural salt water estuary, Estero Tamarindo. South of Tamarindo Bay there is another beautiful estuary and beach, Playa Langosta. Both Playa Grande and Playa Langosta are protected nesting areas for the giant leatherback

turtle, and are part of the Costa Rican National Park System. These beaches are the major nesting areas worldwide for the turtles, which arrive from October to March to lay their eggs.

Tours led by official guides are available to take visitors to see this incredible spectacle. Another very special tour is the jungle boat ride. Small groups are ferried on locally built skiffs deep into the mysterious mangrove forest, where a breathtaking diversity of birds, mammals, and reptiles can be seen.

Upon arrival, check in at Barcelo Playa Langosta, one of the best hotels in the area and with All Inclusive Service.

The all inclusive plan offers the following: Unlimited domestic cocktails, beer, and refreshments, three buffet meals daily, a la carte restaurant available by reservation, daily poolside activities (volleyball, aerobics, contests), tennis courts, dance classes, spa and gym facilities, kayaks, boogie boards, beach towels, snack bar open daily until midnight, discotheque. Have a great time and enjoy all this.

Day 7. BARCELO PLAYA LANGOSTA. Free time for enjoy the beach and the hotel.

Day 8. BARCELO PLAYA LANGOSTA. Free time for enjoy the beach and the hotel.

Day 9 BARCELO PLAYA LANGOSTA - SAN JOSE. Morning: free time for enjoy the beach and hotel. Afternoon, domestic flight to San Jose by SANSA Airlines. Upon arrival to the airport in San Jose , transfer to Hotel Herradura and check in. Free evening and dinner on your own. (For the car rental option, car rental drop off at Tamarindo office)

Day 10. TRANSFER OUT. Transfer to the International Airport and Good Bye.

  • Passengers between 4-10 years old are considered children. Their fee is 80% of the adult fee.
  • 3 rd and 4 th Passenger and teenagers sharing room with parents pay 80% of the regular rate.
